Everest Base Camp – “Off the Beaten Path”

Renjo La Pass – Gokyo Lakes via Thame

This trek has “everything.” The trekkers can get very close to Tibetan border on this trek, when we cross the Renjo La Pass for the finest view of the whole massif including Cho Oyu, Lho La, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori & Hinku valley with Makalu. Then we visit the sacred Gokyo lakes, and continue over another high mountain pass, the Cho La pass toward Everest Base Camp.  This is an ideal trek for those wishing to travel off the beaten path with less tourist and have an interest in the local traditions and culture.  We will take a less traveled route in the Khumbu to experience amazing views from some on the worlds most spectacular mountain passes.  This trek is strenuous requiring good physical conditioning without being a technical climb.  It is possible to add on a technical climb to this trip of Lobuche East, Island Peak, or Ama Dablam.
