ITCOG’s first newsletter

Hello all,Welcome to the first ITCOG news letter. We are a small company with some fun and exciting trips coming up this year. We would love to share with you an experience that lifts the spirit and stimulates the senses. Though it is hard to define in words sometimes it is easy to feel in ones soul the power of being in nature, over coming challenges, and connecting with mother earth. We thrive on playing in the wilderness and truely enjoy connecting with people on adventures to form life long friendships. Dream big with us and come explore. We are happy to create new trips with you.
This year has been exciting already. Todd and I both guided backcountry skiing here in the Wasatch this winter. We used our expertise to sniff out the powder that existed in more elusive ways with our low snow pack this winter. Then Todd did two Haute route trips skiing from Chamonix to Zermatt via the hut system in the Alps. He also did a Ortler trip skiing from huts in Italy. This trip was a blast. After that Bodhi and I met him in Sardinia, Italy for a rock climbing trip with our dear friend and client Lillian. We rented a house on the beach and enjoyed limestone cragging in caves right on the water, as well as multipitch routes more inland. Todd continued on to Russia where he and Zach had an amazing ski trip. The acclimatized for Mt. Elbrus by hiking and skiing down some big couliors, they then skied Elbrus from the summit and had a few extra days for more ski touring. They also had some great experiences meeting locals and getting an impromtu tour of a Harley shop and onto dinner at gramdma’s (Babushka’s House). a priceless journey!
We will be in Chamonix for the summer where Todd has a Trilogy trip (Mt. Blanc, the Matterhorn, and the Eiger) lined up as well as a traverse of the Matterhorn and a Mt. Blanc ascent.
I hope to teach yoga and offer online wellness courses while in Chamonix. Imagine yourself at 90. Would you like to be skiing, have glowing skin and eyes, healthy joints, and a peace and calmness that lights up the room? It is time to uplevel the body, mind and soul. That is the wellness journey I am on and I want to take you with me. Keep in touch and we can talk because there will be a journey for you. Shoot me a line if you are interested in more information on this. For now we return back to our mountain adventures!
This fall Carstensz Pyramid trip is back. We have a group interested in taking the helicopter into basecamp and climbing from there. This will happen August 31st – September 10th. This is one of the most remote places on the planet on the lush island of Papua New Guinea. We look forward to touching this limestone massif again. Enjoy Bali while your at it!
Mexico volcanos have made the fall agenda this year too. Looks to be shaping up for mid October. Contact us for more details!
Japan rocks! Have you heard? They have Utah like powder with tree skiing and all. This year they were blessed with a lot more snow than us and we could hear the powder calling our names. Our vision is to rent a house and invite you all over to backcountry ski with us there. We envision making the world a better place by helping you find an adventure that rocks your world! Whatever standing in your way of signing up for this trip shall disslove away! Lets go ski Japan!!
And the fun doesn’t stop there. How about a skiing in the fyords of Norway! This will be a boat trip cruising from place to place skiing scenic new terrain everyday. We will have amazing views and stunning skiing from mountain to sea. This trip is lining up to happen end of April 2016!!!
Sardinia was so fun that we want to do it again! We want to share this amazing experience with you. It is a great place to bring your family and whoever wants to climb can and others can play in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. Or come solo and climb and enjoy the variety of climbing on this island. We are looking at spending the whole month of May 2016 there. Sign up now to reserve a spot!
If spring skiing in the Alps, Ortler or Haute route trips sound appealing then by all means will plug that trip in too! And the Dolomites are another place you want to go at some point in your life! We highly recommend it!
We will be skiing in Utah February and March working with Utah Mountain Adventures! Always a blast!
Fall 2016 brings Kilimanjaro! Who doesn’t want to go to Africa? This is a great adventure that comes along with a Safari!! You do not need a lot of mountaineering experience for this one so step out of your comfort zone and into the mountains if you don’t have much experience. You need to be fit and ready for fun though! Email us if you want to see if you are a good match for this trip. Looking at October right now though dates are still flexible!
Let us know your hearts desires! Looking forward to playing with you soon.
Our dear friend and fellow guide Tim Connely will be hosting lots of adventures too! Check out our ITCOG website!
Lots of smiles!!
