Deposit and Payments

A 20% deposit is required to confirm any booking. Deposits will be used to pay for outside services, fees, permits and buy plane tickets and lodging. We also take ourselves off the calendar,  turning down other offers for those dates. If you must cancel a trip after a deposit is made, we will make every effort to recoup these costs for you, and rebook those days. However, in most cases, these deposits are not refundable.

Payment in full is required 60 days before the start of the trip. You will not be allowed to join any trip within 60 days of the start of the trip until we have received payment in full. If you cancel within less than 60 days of the trips start date, and we can fill your spot with another participant, we will refund 80% of full trip cost.

We will accept checks, bank transfers and wires with no additional charge to you. If you choose to pay by credit card, you will be charged an extra 3% to cover ITCOG's costs associated with processing and receiving credit card payments.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you need to cancel for any reason, 60 days or more before your trip date, we will refund all monies you have paid, except your 20% deposit is not refundable. Any refunds of deposits are subject to ITCOG rebooking those dates and recouping money we have paid related to your trip.

For many of our international trips, if we cannot issue a full refund on your deposit, we will issue a credit where posssible. This credit will be good for one year and is not transferable.

If ITCOG cancels a trip because we are unable to provide the services promised, full refunds of all money paid including deposits will gladly be given. We do not take any financial responsibility for additional personal expenses like plane tickets, lodging or other travel-related expenses.

Weather and Summit Policy

All ITCOG trips are run in a mountain environment, where weather and other environmental and personal factors are out of our control. Summits are not guaranteed...We are selling trips, not summits. Once a trip begins, even if it is cut short due to weather or other environmental factors, no refunds will be made.

Insurance

In the unlikely event that, on your behalf, or as a result of your actions; (See Acknowledge of Risk) emergency, rescue, or medical costs are incurred. These costs are assumed by you the participant. To avoid these costs, each participant is required to carry personal medical and in some locations personal rescue insurance. We provide personal rescue insurance options on our website.

We also strongly recommend you purchase trip cancellation/interruption insurance. This insurance is for your peace of mind, and to avoid any financial costs often incurred by unexpected cancellations or trip interruptions. We provide options on our website.

Travel and Health

Travel to the trips starting point is your responsibility. This means Visas, Passports, and other required travel documents need to be secured and organized by you. ITCOG will often assist with contacts and instructions, but we are unable to accept any responsibility, financially or otherwise for any decisions, actions or resulting in consequences to your trip.
